If you’re interested in handmade and exotic accessories, it’s worth paying a visit to The Spirit of Bruges. The fashion and accessory shop first opened its doors in 2009 and in 2019 I, Veerle Hoorelbeke, took over the business.
Besides my own brand VHL Designs, you can find items from all over the world at my shop. My slogan is “style is knowing who you are”. I love helping my customers get to know themselves better and discover their own style.
The handbags in my shop are each my own creations or models from Cape Town and Spain. As for hats, I sell brands from Italy, the USA and Belgium. You will also find scarves from French, Indian, Spanish and Dutch brands.
A favourite among my range of products is the Norwegian brand Oleana, which sells high-quality clothing. Finally, the jewellery in my shop comes from Venlo, Greece and Spain. As I add new items to my range, I always post them on my Facebook and Instagram page.
You can visit my fashion shop in Bruges almost every day, only on Tuesdays it is closed. Usually I will welcome you there myself, but occasionally one of my flexi-jobbers will be greeting you behind the counter.
Unfortunately, you cannot park in front of the shop itself. However, 100 metres away is the Oud Sint-Jan car park and about 300 metres away is the ‘t Zand car park.
My shop specialises mainly in caps and hats. I purchase those items from professional brands with extremely durable collections. These include Stetson, Grevi and Bronte. I am happy to advise you on which hat or cap is the most suitable for you, including which colours suit you best. So be sure to drop by if you want to buy a new hat or cap.
